Where did your ancestors come from?
The Southeast Regional Library
(Maricopa County Public Library system) located at 775 N.
Greenfield Road in Gilbert will host its second annual
Genealogy Fair on Saturday, March 1, 2014. This is
a free event for adults and teens
interested in genealogy. This
year's sessions are organized around several different
ethnicities represented in the population of the United
States today. Potential attendees should fill out
and submit a survey
of their interests to assist the fair's planners.

The next meeting of the BFGHS will be
on Saturday, March 8th, from 11 AM to 2 PM, at Harmon
Library, 1325 South 5th Avenue in Phoenix.

local genealogy workshops and national conferences

The Maricopa County Public
Library system has used proceeds from its dedicated
county tax revenues to purchase a subscription to
Ancestry Library Edition and HeritageQuest for local
municipal library systems. Although Ancestry
is limited to in-library use only, HeritageQuest is
accessible remotely via the Phoenix Public Library
website. Look for it under the 'Learning and
Membership in the Black Family
Genealogy & History Society is NOT limited to
African-American research. Its members have ancestors
from a wide range of states and countries.
